Massive home cooked breakfast to set you up for the day, which should include a walk up to the old lighthouse and signal tower. Stunning! The Talking Goose - Kind review from Tripadvisor memberArd na Gaoithe is one of the nicest B and B I have ever stayed with. Cape Clear is the perfect place to switch off and relax and staying with Ard na Gaoithe made the trip more enjoyable! Bhí sé an-dheas an Ghaeilge a labhairt le Bean an Tí. Mholfainn do dhaoine cúpla lá a chaitheamh in Ard na Gaoithe chun a scíth a ligean.
Cara1232015, Cork, Ireland - Stayed August 2015, travelled with family. 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2015.Spent one night here in early February. Eileen welcomed us like family. Good family, that is! The complementary tea and scones upon arrival were freshly baked. The room was clean and comfortable. And the breakfast next morning was one of the best I've ever had in Ireland. Highly recommended!
Theo Postma - From Google ReviewsThis was my second time to stay with Eileen and her family in Ard na Gaoithe on beautiful Cape Clear Island. From the quayside you follow a steep hill to the house and as you walk through the garden gate, a flower lined path leads you to the front door. The first impression is that you are approaching a little cottage but, once inside, you find that there is all the space and privacy that you might expect in a really good hotel. The ensuite rooms are comfortable and quiet, my room had a view of an old flower filled rowing boat in the garden and beyond that, the sight of the blue sea shimmering in the distance. The care to detail around the house was very impressive and best of all, the food was excellent, served with a smile and with any information that you might like to have regarding the island. Eileen and her family couldn't have been more welcoming, this was an excellent base from which to explore the island and, in my case, to take part in the wonderful Cape Clear International Storytelling Festival. I would be very happy to return anytime!
